Papa's Original Salsa has been a staple in our kitchens since our great Papa Linus handed the recipe down to our brother and uncle Michael. Since then, there have always been jars of salsa stored in our pantries made by hand from the fresh tomatoes and peppers grown in our gardens.
Today we produce every jar of Papa's Original with the same natural ingredients, care and attention we've used in our kitchens for the last 40 years to provide you with the unique harmonization of sweet and spicy flavors not found in other salsas.

Marc Hein
Co-FounderMarc is a Co-founder of Hein Family Kitchen and leads the company's product development, manufacturing, and logistics activities. Marc is based in Houston, Texas, and leads the initial market testing of our new flavors through the local farmer's markets and our personal networks. Marc has chemistry degrees from St. Cloud State University and Texas A&M University with 35 years of experience in developing and commercializing new products in a wide range of industries.
Jason is one of the Co-founders of Hein Family Kitchen and has been leading the company’s sales and marketing efforts with commercial partners. Jason and his family reside in the Minneapolis, MN area which allows him to spend time in the stores to host tastings, work directly with our local commercial partners, and speak directly with our customers. Jason hold master’s degrees in business and molecular biology and has spent 10 years in sales, marketing, and strategy functions in the life science tools industry.

Jeremy Hein
Co-FounderJeremy is a Co-founder of Hein Family Kitchen and leads accounting, finance, and IT efforts within the company. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys experimenting with new salsa flavors and recipes to build the company's current product offering and engaging with consumers to gain perspective into what the public is asking for. Jeremy holds bachelor degrees in finance and computer science from the University of Colorado and has spent his career working in M&A advisory and corporate finance roles.
